Kriva Palanka Municipality
Kriva Palanka (Macedonian: Крива Паланка) is a municipality in eastern Republic of Macedonia. Kriva Palanka is also the name of the town where the municipal seat is found. Kriva Palanka Municipality is part of the Northeastern Statistical Region.
Geography
The municipality borders Serbia to the north, Bulgaria to the east, Rankovce Municipality to the west, and Makedonska Kamenica Municipality, Kratovo Municipality and Kočani Municipality to the south.
Demographics
According to the 2002 Macedonian census, Kriva Palanka Municipality has 20,820 residents.[1] Ethnic groups in the municipality:
- Macedonians = 19,998 (96.1%)
- Roma = 668 (3.2%)
- Serbs = 103 (0.5%)
- others.
